Country Charm Fabrics Jeromesville, Ohio

Just seven miles from Interstate 71, Cindy Doggett’s Country Charm Fabrics is a wonderful stop if you are in the area, and worth a drive if you are not.

This is not the building sign I usually use for a shop, but it is the one you want to watch for, as Google Maps is a little off. It will send you to the alley behind the shop and say you have arrived. It’s better to stay on High Street and watch for the sign.

This shop originally started in a horse barn as a joint venture between Miss Cindy and her mother back in 1975. When her mother passed, she and her father partnered, with Dad doing machine repairs. The move to the current location in downtown Jeromesville happened nine years ago.

There are over 3,000 bolts of fabrics to entertain you here, and fabrics include batiks, solids, and some wonderful prints – yes, I would Stack-n-Whack – and wools. A lot are from Andover Fabrics – you will recognize these if you are familiar with their lines. Flannel is also available. There is a Scrap Trunk where you can pick up smaller pieces for applique projects without having to get a full fat quarter, or get a deal on bolt ends.

There are samples available throughout the shop to give you ideas. Patterns are available, as well as kits. Take time to admire this lovely little Featherweight while you are there.

Samples and kits are next to the pattern rack. Classes are suspended during the quarantine, however, fabric is still shipping. If you have questions or need help, fell free to call or email the shop.

Plan for at least 30 minutes here when we are able to travel again.

Come back on Thursday to see where the North American Shop Hop is visiting next!
